   in IE the sidebar goes all the way down

   Like hbalagh said ...sidebar gone down in IE.

   Recent posts and recent comments section is a bit messy.
   This is a common mistake or "design crucifiction". If you use bullets then align all the text next to bullet and not just first line. Bullets are there to clarify and to make things more readable.

   Main menu text is too small or lacks of standing out of the background.
