    Hello all,
I'm using a very old version of WordPress (1.5.2) (my blog was built by someone in 2005) and have encountered a number of glitches in the past year or two. Right now, the one distressing me the most is this error message, which is appearing on the top of my blog:

WordPress database error: [Table './bijoujenny/wp_comments' is marked as crashed and should be repaired]
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_approved = '0'

Again, my blog was built out by someone else, and I'm not sure how to fix this error, or even upgrade my version of WordPress. I'm trying to have this fixed as I am paying monthly for hosting and feel like my money is being wasted with all these site errors on my blog. I want to resume blogging regularly, but it's become quite a drag considering my site is overrun with errors.

Can anyone help me figure out how to repair this and/or upgrade my WordPress? Thank you!!! Jenny

Can you use phpMyAdmin? If so, here is an article describing how to repair a database.

Do I need a phpMyAdmin account? Is it free? How do I log in? Ugh.
