samtokenyaI'm currently midway through a cycling trip from London to Kenya, and would really appreciate some help with sorting a couple of things on my blog (www.pedallingalltheway.com). I've tried and tried to come up with solutions but, as my time is limited when I'm not cycling, I'm struggling to get it all resolved. Any assistance would be very gratefully received!
Basically, there are two issues I haven't yet managed to sort out:
1. Map
I'm going to add Lat/Long fields to all my blog posts, and would like to create a route map showing my path so far. I've managed to get it to produce a map showing my current position, but can't work out how to get a path produced from all the blog posts combined (which I'd like to have at http://www.pedallingalltheway.com/map.php). There may be a plugin that will do this for me, but I can't see one that will do what I want.
2. Email posting
I've been trying to work out how to get Postie to work properly, so that I can upload blog posts via email (which will be essential once I hit Africa and start using a satellite phone for emails). I know exactly how I want the blog posts formatted in terms of html, but can't quite work out how to get it to do what I want when attaching pictures to the email (I don't want all the pictures the same size, and not always in the same place either - just to be awkward).
Would you be able to help me out at all? It's probably really simple if you know what you're doing but I, quite frankly, don't! So, it takes me forever and, at the moment, that's causing me a few problems!
