Hello!
I have a statcounter plugin that I'd like to install, but I cannot figure out how to upload it to my wp-content/plugins folder. Here's my blog:
http://thenicholsblog.com
When I go to http://thenicholsblog.com/wp-content/plugins folder, I see the directory, but how exactly to I upload a new plugin? Do I need to creat an FTP folder? And if so, what do I call the folder? Feel free to dumb down any info. you might have as I'm not technically proficient:)Please help!
Thanks!
Jennifer

I may not be right - not experienced myself - but do you know how to get access to the files behind your site? You need to be able to see a file directory, and use an FTP program to copy the statcounter file (or folder) into the wp-content/plugins folder there. This is behind the scenes, not something you are viewing with a browser (as in the link you have posted above.)
I use Yummy FTP, a free FTP program (works on a Mac) but there are lots of others. I may not be stating what you need...

Hi, when I go to http://thenicholsblog.com/wp-content/plugins I do bot see a folder with your plugin. There is an akismet pluging and the dolly plugin, which exist n=by default, but there should be a folder with the files for the plugin you are trying to install. AS SOON as there is a folder there with your files, then the plugin will be in your wordpress online. You just need to "activiate" in fron the wp-admin area.
Yes - you need to upload the plugin files via ftp.
