Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check out my post, because I'm having a serious problem I need fast help with.
I'm completely new to this and just built my website http://carleatherseatcovers.com and for some reason at the top it says Select a Category:...this used to say Seat Covers, but I changed it from the categories to say News (since I found out I HAVE to have a category) I'm so confused because it still says Select a Category: and I even put a post in the News section (asking people for opinions and suggestions for my new site) Please help me ASAP! Thank you so much.

Ahhh! I'm so sorry its a giant link, but still the content is readable...my website link is carleatherseatcovers.com
I'm not trying to spam my site here, I seriously need help, because it looks tacky with Select a Category up there and I need to start to show people my site fast to get business. Thank you again.

What theme are you using?

We can't really help with commercial themes as we cannot access the theme itself. Please try asking the theme vendors for support.

Why? I mean it's a word press problem, it's the default category giving me a problem

How do you know it's a "WordPress" problem?
Have you switched to the TwentyTen, and confirmed that the problem still exists?
The 'menu' item of 'Select a Category' is a theme designation. As chip said, try the TwentyTen theme. Also go over your menu settings, both in your theme's specific settings (if they have it) and the WordPress menu settings (under appearance) and see if it's listed there.
Also if you BOUGHT the theme, talk to the people who made it. That's just how that works y'know :)

I go to Appearance>Menu and look and see categories is listed and it says News (which is what I have the default category listed as) and also it says "The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar."
I'm really new to this, this is my first site, my brother helped me out and stuff, but even he's stumped with this!
I don't see anything on the front end that says "Select a Category".
If in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus you see the text The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar., it means that your current Theme has not registered any "Theme Locations" to which to apply your custom Menus.
Seems to be working now (Chip, where 'News' is now, it said 'Select a category' before).

Yup I fixed it thanks for your help guys! Another quick question, how do I make a slideshow on my front page where I have the picture of the single seat cover? It only let's me put a URL to host an image, so no HTML would work...is there an image hosting site where I can make a slideshow and link it? Or a GIF maker would be am alt. choice right? Any help again would be great!
Since we don't have access to that specific theme, we really can only tell you in generic terms. The real answer is 'Get a theme that has a slide show built in.'
