please help me: SIDEBAR css layout and SINGLE.PHP

can anyone help me please? im at my wits end and it’s the first time i made my own template from scratch…well, i based my css with a downloaded template, but I have a different layout and that screwed things up mainly on the alignment of sidebar header images and the content background…

notice that sidebarh2 image is not aligned with sb_top.gif. i keep on editing the sidebarh2 css but it won’t work. if someone can help me, i can send the whole css template, the sidebar part i don’t understand coz it contains a lot of “ul” “li” and stuff.

now click on one of the entry titles to see a single entry. notice that gray part for the content doesn’t connect with the gray part on the footer image. what should i do to fill in the same color?
