I did a few searches (wich im no good at) and didn't find anything. on which file to edit and where to place the html at.

Could someone please help me or help me find the right info on how to? I will be wanting larger banners in my header, and I will want to rotate several there also, in the future. but for now I would like to know how to place this tag, if thats what it's called.

I'm very tired so I could be wrong.. However, my suggestion would be:

With any editor of your choice open the file sidebar.php in the wp-content/themes/coppermine/ folder.

Insert your banner code after the <hr /> tag at about the end of the document.

    Save and upload.

You have probably already tried this.. However.. I hope that does it for you :-)

I'm actually inserting banners on my own blog right now. Perhaps you can get some inspiration from my source code: http://www.gudmann.net.
