Please HELP! I'm in over my head and messed up my blog (2 posts)

    I was trying to use special code to change something on my site, and I did something that gives me this message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/content/62/7388462/html/wp-content/themes/platform/functions.php on line 13

    I am running the Pagelines Platform theme, and this happened after I tried to change the code in the Theme Functions (functions.php) box. I tried undoing it, but it didn't fix it. I did a search to try to fix it, and based on the info I found I tried downloading the theme, unzipped the file, and copy/pasted the code into the box. The code looked exactly what was already in there, but it still didn't fix it.

    I really don't know what to do, and I'm afraid to close out the browser because I don't even know how to get back in to change the code again.

    PLEASE help me if you can. I'm so confused!

    p.s., I'm not sure I'm using WP version 3.1.3 - I don't even know how to find out what version I'm using, but I assume it's the latest one since I've only been blogging since February.

    Oops, forgot to mention that this is what is in the code area (don't know if it helps or not):

    <?php
    /*

    THEME INITIALIZATION

    This file loads the core framework for Platform which handles everything.

    This theme copyright (C) 2008-2010 PageLines

    */

    require_once(TEMPLATEPATH . "/includes/core.init.php");
