I'm using the "Magazine basic" theme, the primary and secondary sidebar are showing on the site but not on the widget page... Link: http://urbancityent.com

Try posting on the theme's forums:

It's not the theme, I changed my theme to three different themes including 20-evelen but still the same thing, My website is new and I just got it 2 days ago, someone said I'll have to activate the side bars but I really don't know what that meant

Ok I googled the problem and I realized that other people also had the same problem, one of them came up with a solution saying "Ok, figured it out. Somehow my sidebar file was corrupted. I just reinstalled that and things fired right up! Yay!" Please how do I re-install my sidebar file, I really don't know what to do, please help

You could try reinstalling the theme or replace just the sidebar.php file (assuming there is one) using FTP -- first download a copy of the theme to your local computer.

If you cannot manage this yourself, perhaps you need to consider hiring someone to carry out the work for you.

The suggestions that WPyogi gave are the only ones that might work. You need to learn how to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Where is your site hosted? I'd also suggest you change back to using a widely used theme that has good support here -- you're more likely to get help that way. Twentyeleven or twentytwelve, for example, at least until you get things working right.

    Are you following this?

But here's the thing, too -- if you have a self-hosted site, you need to learn the kind of thing already suggested (i.e. FTP, managing files, etc.). Yes, I know it's a lot of new stuff to learn, but you can do it. Just start reading and following what's suggested. If it's easier for you to follow videos, there are many good YouTube videos about using WP. You could also look here:
