   I have an existing website (hhtp://catyersin.com) made three years ago. I decided (that sounded like a good idea) to do MY OWN website, so then I can update everything without going through my friend who does HTML.

   So I downloaded the last version of WordPress (as today, March 31 2009) and I was all exited to start working on it. I received an email from Bluehost telling me it has been set up and a link to go to the admin page.

   Which I did BUT:
   - I cannot view my wordpress page!!! When I click on "view", it always takes me to my old website.... it drives me NUTS.

   Also (second question) I would like to get the WordPress website all ready and then switch it instead of my old website.... is it possible?

   Sorry, I feel such like a dummy : (

   sounds like you installed wordpress in root of existing site.
   The index.html of oresent site will take over the index.php from wordpress.
   To have wordpress show up, you will need to rename or delete the index.html

   Since you want to work on site before going live, I would suggest moving wordpress to a test folder - /whatever - and get it how you want it - then move it back to the root.

   Ok: I read the article but... it sounds so complicated and I don't understand much of it, I don't even know where to start or change things.

   How do you move wordpress to a folder? Click and drop?

   You'll need to use FTP to move your files around. You will also need it to download files and/or upload them. There is a tool in your cPanel called Unlimited FTP which will allow you to do that, or you can get an FTP client such as filezilla
   Bluehost can tell you what settings you need if you aren't sure of that.
