   I am entirely new to wordpress and html in general. I know VERY basic html, but really try to just learn as I go along. I am trying to edit my theme just to change colors and this is what it says at the bottom of the editor:

   You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.

   I clicked the 'codex' link and don't understand ANYTHING it is talking about. I have no idea what to do or where to go so I can make the file writable. If someone could please help lead me in the right direction to figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. Or, if it's really too complicated, does anyone know a good place to hire someone to customize my blog for me??

   The simplest answer is contact your webhost and ask them to do it for you, or to let you know what you need to do. The answer is dependent on how your web server is configured.
