Since I installed buddypress, I've had issues with buddypress. I can't access the buddypress community page and not sure if others can.

http://www.amazingfoundation.org.uk/community. Every time I open members' page, it says Create account. In short all pages lead to create account. I don't know what I've done wrong.

    Please help

amazingfoundation.org.uk/community opens up (after a very long wait) to amazingfoundation.org.uk/our-community In fact, all pages in your site takes very long to load. It looks like your site is own shared hosting and you'd need to upgrade to VPS at least if you want BuddyPress activated. Best consult with your webhost tech support about this.

all pages lead to create account

This means you added another plugin which protects BP pages if user is not logged in. If you're logged in and still get redirected to the register page then there's a plugin conflict - registration or membership plugin - as default behavior is for logged in users get redirected to home page if they attempt to go to register page.

@amazingfoundation Re possible plugin conflict - Change to Twenty Twelve theme. Back up database. Then deactivate plugins one by one except BuddyPress to check which is redirecting all and even you as site admin to the registration page.

As for speeding up your site - when you use BuddyPress, more often than not, you have to upgrade to VPS sooner rather than later. Having said that, when you upgrade to VPS, you'd either have to learn fast how to manage your VPS server (learning curve is kinda steep) and site or you would have to hire someone to do so.

Re VPS - Contact the tech support of your webhost. Know that VPS server costs much more than regular shared hosting plan.

To back up database, read http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database
