   Hi,

   I want my users to post articles to categories WITHOUT going through the admin panel. That is, I want it all to be done on the front-end, through my site

   Is this possible? Is there a plug-in for it?

   Not sure why you'd want to do that as allocating a role to a user would hide everything they shouldn't see.

   Take a look at the Roles and Capabilities section of the codex. There are a few plugins mentioned at the foot of the page that may help as well.

   I understand that they wouldn't be able to mess with anything in the admin pane, that's not the point.

   I want the article submission to be ON MY SITE, not through the admin panel. It just looks to "behind the curtain-y"

   You could always reskin the admin pages that they get to use to make it look more like the front end of your site.

   Other than that I really couldn't help, sorry.
