    Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm trying to install this at ixwebhosting.com on a Windows server. I'm getting the below error and I have rechecked and rechecked till I'm blue in the face and can't figure it out.

    ERROR:

    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?

    CONFIG.PHP FILE SAYS

    <?php
    // ** MySQL settings ** //
    define('DB_NAME', 'inetweb_TexasDoes'); // The name of the database
    define('DB_USER', 'inetweb_txdoes'); // Your MySQL username
    define('DB_PASSWORD', 'mypassword'); // ...and password
    define('DB_HOST', 'localhost'); // 99% chance you won't need to change this value
    define('DB_CHARSET', 'utf8');
    define('DB_COLLATE', '');

    // You can have multiple installations in one database if you give each a unique prefix
    $table_prefix = 'wp_'; // Only numbers, letters, and underscores please!

    // Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the
    // chosen language must be installed to wp-content/languages.
    // For example, install de.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de'
    // to enable German language support.
    define ('WPLANG', '');

    /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__).'/');
    require_once(ABSPATH.'wp-settings.php');
    ?>

    My experience with ixwebhosting makes me think that you need to check your localhost setting. I think it is more likely to be a specific host name. Check your database details via the control panel...

    Ok I've got that worked out and now have this error when logging in.
