   I would appreciate any comments/criticisms etc on my new wordpress site, as per link below.

   please let me know if:
   - it's not displaying correctly in your browser
   -images or page elements don't appear to load correctly, or take a long time
   -you think the general layout/design could be improved in ANY way
   - you have any suggestions as to how I can reinforce visually the theme of my site (football)
   -if you have a suggestion for improving my header/logo etc.

   I'm new to this type of site design, and have spent a long time already playing around with the design and different templates.

   Many thanks in advance, no criticism is too harsh as long as it is honest :)

   I checked it in IE7, Firefox, Opera and Safari, and it looks fine in each. There were a few validation errors, you can check those at validator.w3c.org/ (very handy bookmark, that). Nothing that seems to bug-up in any of the 4 browsers.

   As for eye appeal, I think you have a nice, clean setup. I'd suggest you take a few minutes and throw in some original content for your "About".

   Regarding your header, I like the background - I find it very appealing and easy on the eyes. Grass without being an in-your-face obvious turf. This is pure personal preference following, but I'd suggest tweaking the font used for the header text.

   Nice job!

   xOne, thanks for info regarding validation!

   As for header text, I have spent AGES trying to find a nice appropriate font, without success. Back to the drawing board! :)

   everything else is good - im not a big fan of your header logo. I am always opposed to text on top of backgrounds - i would much rather see a gradient fill and clear background for your text. This effect brings out your logo even more.
