I like the theme. Nice strong type that is extremely legible. I actually cannot say anything but good things about your design.

Please take these comments lightly, as they are quite nitpicky...
It took me a few seconds to realise that your input box was for search. I know, 99% of people will know what it is and what it's there for.
Also, I would love to see more than one post at a time or at least be able to go from one to the next with the something like the standard [previous post title] [next post title] links somewhere on the page.

Thank you for the refreshing look. It was quite pleasant.

I like it very much. Simplicity at its best.

I also agree with isotrope - your search box really does need something - search! Go! Something.

It's just sitting there with no direction. Most people of very average internet experience - like my 61yr old mother and my 15yr old daughter wouldn't have a clue as to what it does or what its suppose to represent.

I also read your post - you don't need to upgrade your writing skills. I enjoyed your words, your tone and your flair for the gab very much.

    Well done. :)

Thank you both for the friendly words. I added some indication to the search box, is it better like this or does it need a go/search button?

Also I will look into display more than one post at a time. This will take a little more time however since the design was based on one post and simplicity. I don't want to break it (visually) but I will find a solution.

Didn't you just post on this not long ago, just changed it a bit? The header got smaller..and something else is different, just can't put my finger on it.. =)

I see some traffic coming from here but no comments. Please tell me your opinion on my site. Also I did change the front page and archives.

I like it a lot. Though I would use a less common typeface personally, and it is standard practice to make a header a link to your blog when it is as sizeable as yours.

Thanks for your feedback. The header link is added as you suggested. What do you mean with sizeable? The typeface I will see if I can find anything to my liking, or do you have any suggestions I should look at?

Ok, I could use some help. My archives page breaks in Internet explorer while it looks fine in Safari and Firefox (Mac). First I thought it would be the box model but that doesn't seem to be it. If someone has a clue, pls drop me a line at mstegink att gmail.

Tx a lot if you do.

Nice and clean I like it. Most of my "points" where picked up by others but your sitemappreview.jpg link is broken.

Check your site with any LinkChecker tool

I didn't check with a linkchecker tool, I'll do that when de design is finished. However the sitemap link is fixed and so are the two other image links in cooking articles. Probably not much more broken links around.

Unfortunately I did not get any hints for the archives page so it took me some time to solve it. It is solved however. Another tick in the box but as always, another one added also: the nav link on the frontpage has to be decided on. Anyway, next to solve will be the search page.

i like it. it'd be cool if the header was "random" to give you different fruits or something...

Nice thought, the different fruits. Then also the sites colors should be matching and therefore rotated. Alternatively you could choose you own fruit (and colors). I'll give that some thought. In the mean time here's a mandarine!

It looks sweet as that peach or whatever, just for us that still use 800x600 res, the text and such hug the left wall too much, there isn't much padding there at all.. =(

Just my thoughts and suggestions on it... =)

Still think the lime looks better so I reinstated that. Changed the width to max-width and added some margins. That seems to work out, for the less than 1% of my viewers, that use 800x600.

    better this way?

This is great, are you willing to share it?

I sure will when it's finished. It's close but the archives don't work in all browsers and also not with resizing. spencerp: you like the archive or the size reduction?

mstegink, I was referring to the size reduction. =) Also, just now I had checked your Archives page, and I can see what you're talking about now.

Maybe just keep the sidebar there, but reduce the overall sidebar width once. Or maybe you could even do without it or something.. mmmm. :/ Or maybe even let it the sidebar that width, just reduce the padding and such on the overall content div section maybe.. Just throwing out suggestions or whatever lol. =)

Very clean, nice use of whitespace, great choice of colours and "fluid" design which adapts to whatever browser window size the visitor users.

    Well done.

Thank you, How about the archive. Should I leave it like this or remove the sidebar. Could build it up like
    - Search
    - Specials
    - Archives listed by date

and I just grabbed a new theme this morning, I wish i saw yours first! (but then again, I clicked on your name at the bottom hoping to get it, but I see it isn't "for sale")

Nice and wide, I love it.

Is it going to be available to us also? :-)

It *is* available for you already. Just download it using the link at the bottom of the post (and dropping me a comment would be nice). It isn't for sale since it is free. :)

    Yea, I was joking.

I just got it, thx. I was referring to the link at the very bottom, it just went back to the top of your page, hence the reason I said what I said (but I just tried again with my NoScript accepting from your site and clicked on the correct link this time), thx again.
