I'm still finding my way around this thing, but please check it out so far. I will be adding new posts once I get the sidebar and pages just the way I want them. But overall, I think it's pretty much set!
I would love any feedback you experienced WordPressers have to offer. Thanks for your time!

Simple, straight forward and uncluttered. I think consistency in posting and image placement may be important to the aesthetics of that particular theme once you have a lot of content. The text widget in the sidebar contains a flash object. You can style the text widget if you like, if you place the flash object in the text widget between
<p style="text-align:center;"></p>
tags, it should center it in the sidebar column for you. (I have a thing about symmetry, I guess). The only other thing I noticed is that if you are viewing on a wide-screen, (1680 x 1050 for me) you run out of header image.
I think you are off to a great start!
Best wishes.

Really good points - thank you! I'll implement them in the next couple of days.

Nice site, but I did find it hard to read the smaller print against the header graphic. Also, and this is a small thing, but for some reason I always notice it. It says that your post author is 'admin' and that always seems impersonal to me. You might consider adding a user with your own name and give it administrator rights, then post with that. Just my opinion since this seems to be a friendly, informative type of blog rather than a business.
