  • lostpixels,
I just had a look at the site. I am on an ADSL broadband connection, and I think the page took about 5 or 6 seconds to load. Total page size is 258351 bytes, which is on the heavy side. People who are on a 56K dialup connection will have to wait in the neighbourhood of a minute to view the site. I’m not sure about your target audience, but perhaps that is too long of a wait?
Overall, I really like the look of the site. Is that Swedish? I’m sorry, I have no clue what the language is. I think you could also add a DOCTYPE declaration to the top of your page code, which will help validation.
Since you are using a table layout, my suggestion would be to use this DOCTYPE:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

You’ve put a lot of work into your site…keep it up and have fun!

    Looks great! Fantastic design!

    Thanks for your nice comments,
NuclearMoose, i ve optimized images, and i ve saved around 100 K, now it should be easier to surf 🙂
I ve tried to adding DOCTYPE but the whole page gone mad, (everything centered, CSS didnt apply etc. ) I will look into it later.
And its turkish 🙂 Antifit is a place for myself where i blog websites, art projects, comments about movies and games.
I am a Designer from Turkey , and again thanks all for your nice comments !

Your design could be easily achieved using CSS rather than tables for layout. Also, using CSS = less markup which = significantly lower k filesize which = happier visitors because they won’t have to wait as long for the page to load.

“For the last seven years, we’ve been pushing Web design further and further down the same path. Once we found out that we could take tables and bend them into design, we jumped all over the idea. But at their heart, tables are grids, their rows and cells strict and confining. We could change their shapes, yes, but only in groups. We spanned the rows and columns in search of more flexibility, trying to sneak our way around the limitations. But there, in amongst those rows and cells, we got trapped into a certain way of thinking: this was possible and that was not; this could be done but that was too much effort to be worthwhile.
Like tables, there is another highly limiting structure that’s composed of rows and cells: a prison. It’s time for designers to break out. “

Lovely site, I just wish I knew Turkish! The only thing I would really recommend is that you work towards standards compliance – and never ever use tables for layout (if only someone would tell the 99% of the web that hasn’t figgured this out yet!).
