If I use the following syntax [audio: http://directory/name.mp3%5D to create an embedded mp3 player, and then “update” the page, I never see the mp3 player on the that page. The text is all I see. I have also installed the “WPaudio” and “Audio Player” to no avail. Of course deactivating one before installing and activating the other.

I have two websites. One that works with the above code and the other than doesn’t. I have disabled ALL plugins to no avail. Each of the websites use the same theme and have virtually the same plugins installed. On both websites, all the content is stored in /public_html/wp-content/uploads/2011/03 (03 being the month).

The only thing I can think of that may have affected this situation, is the fact that I migrated the offending website from within the WordPress folder to the root directory. All files and links work, however, so I’m not certain of the impact.

The way it stands now, the mp3 URL’s merely act as links. In other words, instead of showing up as the player icon, it merely shows as a link. When I click on the link, the browser’s embedded mp3 player opens in another window instead of opening within what I hoped to be the embedded player on that specific page. I presume it won’t matter, but following is the page in question: http://deboracoty.com/?page_id=224

I have done an exhaustive search but I cannot find an answer. Thanks! This is driving me insane. 🙂

Now, I’m finding that most plugins do not work. I recently created a video gallery and the syntax [videogallery id=”DMC1″] is not recognized by the Video Gallery.

Something is broken somewhere but I have no idea where to look. This is getting very frustrating.

    Thanks for any help!
