    Dear Mark,

i have problems regarding the size of a player picture.
In the setting you can alter the size.
We have a bunch of pics in 134x204px. So i inserted my picturesize in the settings.
When i try to upload the pic in the backend, everything seems fine.
The picture shown in the backend has the correct size.

When displaying them on the Gallery or single player view, the photo is cropped to 150x150px.

    Do I miss anything?

    Hi ahlemann,
It appears that if you create a default image and set the size, it works correctly. But the thumbnails (featured image) ignores the height and width settings even though they are set in the code. I believe the problem is with the way featured images are added on the admin (add player) page. I am looking at it, but it may take me a couple of days. Stay tuned.

    Hi ahlemann,
I expect to have a patch for this today or tomorrow. If you would like to try it out before I publish a new version of the plugin, that would be great. Contact me through the shoalsummitsolutions.com website and I will send you the patched files when they are ready.

This problem has been corrected and will be included in the next release, hopefully next week.

    resolved?

    Dear Mark,

    thanks for the patch.
I updated but it still wont work properly.

I changed the settings to my width and hight.
I copied the new "content-single-player.php" into my theme.

Now the pic has the right size, but the original Pic is now cropped at a hight of 150px, then scaled big again to the size i wanted...
    Doesn't look so good...

So the bug must be in the part, when you add the media to the player.
Your template seems to be ok.

    Hi ahlemann,
Please send me a link to the page where you have the problems. If you look at my dev site, you'll see I've changed the width x height to 200x120 on the Plugin Settings page and it works.

I think you are onto the issue though. When you upload the images, you have to upload the size that you set in the settings page (or at least the same aspect ratio), otherwise the image will be distorted.

    Hi Mark,

can not sent you a link. The page ist live and i do not want the bug to be seen.

On your dev page, the foto is also 150x150 then scaled to your size

    http://shoalsummitsolutions.com/dev/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/willie-mays-150x150.jpg

so the picture upload/miniature mechanism seem not to be compatible to your plugin.

Well, if I can't see it, it's harder to help you fix it. You can send the link to my personal e-mail: mark@shoalsummitsolutions.com if you'd like.

You are correct, I uploaded 150x150 images because that's the default size. I changed the display settings just to show you that the image will scale. So I don't understand your 'compatibility issue/question'. If I wanted 200x120 images, I needed to upload 200x120 images. I guess I could create more cool custom thumbnail sizes but:
    (a) I can't support everyone's unique size requirements, and
    (b) It wastes space.

So I decided to let you pick your size (and live with that choice).

    maybe its my mistake, mark.

    my original pic is 134 × 204.
I uploaded it to my media library.

When in select the pic in the edit-player backend, it is shown in the correct size.
in the single-player site thoug, the 134x150 cropped version ist used, not the origina sized picture.

In the new version, this cropped picture is then scaled to the size from the preferences.

So maybe the wrong picture is used?
Or is the problem in front of the Computer?

    Regards,

    Oliver

Hummm, WordPress should upload the fullsize attachment. Did you set the thumbnail size to 134 × 204 in the Players->Display Settings screen?
