After posting a podcast no player shows up. I have checked to see that the display filters are correct as well as the link to the file. It doesn't show in excerpts or the full post. I have tried checking it in the following browsers: IE, Firefox, Opera, and Chrome. I'm kind of at a loss here. Any thoughts? The site is http://www.geekpodcast.info

I'm also getting a duplicate attribute in my feed, any idea how to correct this?

    Here is the error message
    XML Parsing Error: duplicate attribute
    Location: http://feeds.feedburner.com/geekpodcast/uakf
    Line Number 10, Column 2: xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd"

If I looks into the source code e.g. of the page of your first episode then I see that the Javascript code which podPress loads occurs 2-3 times (one time in the <head> section, two times at the end of the code). It is likely that a different plugin triggers this redundant loading of some portions of the code. It is probably okay to determine that the plugins should load the Javascript in the footer section of a page. But it is very unusual that the code gets loaded in the head and the footer section.

Which other plugins are active in your blog?
Is a further podcasting plugin active? (That would explain the duplicate line in the code of the RSS feed.)

A second unusual behaviour is that podPress does not seem to recognize the file type of the media file.
The most likely reason is that you have entered an Url of a file which is not of a file type podPress recognises or only a part of an URL.
What did you enter as the Location value e.g of the episode http://geekpodcast.info/nerd-word-episode-1-as-the-net-turns-2/ ?

This is the file location for the mp3:
    http://geekpodcast.info/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/episode_1.mp3

The only other plugins that are installed and active are:
Contact form plugin, google xml sitemaps, jetpack, paypal express checkout, podcast channels, podpress, rss feed checker, tentblogger feedburner rss redirect, tentblogger optimize wordpress database plugin, wordpress SEO, and WP google analytics

Is podcast channels really active? I could not activate it because of a PHP error during the activation process. It does not seem to be compatible with WP 3.5.1.

There are two plugins with the name RSS Feed Checker. Which one is installed?

Anyway. There are plugins like wordpress Seo or Jetpack which have a lot of options which makes it almost impossible for me to rebuild the situation in your blog in an effective way. That is why I would like to ask you to try yourself which plugin interferes with podPress. You can easily test that by deactivating one plugin at a time. Once one plugin is deactivated reload the page and look whether the appearance is different. You can activate the plugin after that again. Once you know which plugin is responsible I can try to find the problem.

Which plugin adds the social network elements below the posts? Maybe start with this plugin.

I've disabled all the plugins except podpress and still having the same issue. I'll leave them disabled so you can take a look.

interesting, I disabled all the plugins and re-enabled them one at a time and the feed seems to be working correctly now.

I'm not sure about that. But the redirect to the feedburner version of the feed works now.

@all: After a Skype session we could resolve the issue.
If you check all three boxes of the option "Included in: [x] RSS2 [x] ATOM [x] Feed Only" (see Edit Post or Add Post) for a media file then podPress will include this particular media file only in the RSS and ATOM feeds and will not show it on the blog pages.
