    Check your javascript console via Firebug and post me what it says.

    I just installed the plugin. I like it but I too have the video open in same window at YouTube. Firebug shows just a regular <a href link and no errors.
    I use jwplayer. Is there a way to make it open in the same window?
    I am using the elasticslide.
