Platform: italics not working

    I’m using the free version of the Platform theme, and italics is not working. The HTML shows the tag in the post editor but but it is being dropped when uploaded to the site (when I check the HTML in Firefox the tags are missing).

    If this is a permanent bug, then I’m off Platform and I’ll have to start again with another theme. I really like the simple Twenty Eleven theme (my first blog uses Twenty Ten) but unfortunately it only supports two columns and I need three.

    Any help appreciated.

    Well, it appears the em tag I put in my post has been recognized in a way I didn’t want…

    Bug update: I have discovered that the italics disappear off the main blog page but reappear when you click on the individual posts. Go figure.
