Iconic One
[resolved] Placing Ads Next to Logo in the header (10 posts)

    Okay so basically I made the child theme of iconic-one and I activated it. Its working fine.

    Now I want to insert an ad placer-holder into the header, so I copied the header.php into my child theme.

    However, whatever I do there doesn't change anything. I even randomly paste the word WHAAAAAAT to see if it would appear somewhere on the header and it just did not show up.

    Am I missing something here?

    I also cleared my cached after doing the update, and visited my site still no changes.

    I also tried adding the whole <html></html> tag since its a .php file and it doesn't show any changes.

    Not without seeing your site.

    My address is http://yawncentral.com/

    I'm trying to place the a placeholder for a full 468x60 to the right of my "Yawn Central" Title on the header.

    First off, clear and then deactivate the SuperCache plugin.

    Then add this CSS to your child theme style.css file - to see if it works:

    body {
       border: 1px solid red;
    }

    Wow that worked. I don't get what I'm doing wrong.

    I'm trying to insert this banner into the right of my header. http://yawncentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/468by60fullbanner.jpg `

    Okay, I was able to make it appear on the banner :D. BUT its like kissing the side of my header logo. I tried div align, but it basically brought the banner under logo which I do not want. Anyone know how I could make the banner move the right more?

    Put the HTML for the ad banner inside a div - with an ID so that you can use the id in the CSS to position it:

    <div id="header-ad">
    PUT YOUR CODE IN HERE
    </div>

    Then in the CSS:

    #header-ad {
        styles go here;
    }
