I want to put the Facebook like button at the top of my posts but when I do, it cuts into the text and makes the layout unacceptably weird. Is there a way to just place it right above the text?

Are you using a plugin or inserting the code manually?
I'm using a plug in. I tried several of the ones that are in the wordpress collection, same thing happened with all of them.
Have you tried this one?

I have no trouble with it appearing cleanly above my posts.
I looked at that but it seems awfully complicated and way more than I need. I just want to get the one I have to align properly, which probably can be done in the edit section for the plugin but I don't know how to do that.
Hi,
I'm new to WordPress and am trying to add a FB like button without success. Can anyone give me a step by step instruction?
I have previously managed to add a calendar plugin, but couldn't figure out the FB like button.
