Place Theme & Latest Version of WordPress

It seems my theme is not compatible with the latest version of WordPress. I’ve reached out to the author, but they aren’t offering support. Before I switch – does anyone spot something blatantly obvious on why this theme breaks? It loads fine, but after about 5 seconds the content shifts on the page. Thanks in advance!
