Pingbacks and trackbacks not showing on individual posts

    We get a pingback or trackback, either internal (one of our posts to another) or external (from another blog). http://www.openhelix.com

    On the main page, there will be an indication that there is a comment (pingback):

    But if you go to the individual page/article, there is nothing there:

    If you go to edit, you’ll see that trackbacks/pingbacks are indeed allowed and that it shows up on the edit page:

    This behavior is true of most pingbacks/trackbacks, but not all:

    Once I did this, I figured out if there is only 1 comment, and it is pingback/trackback, then it will not show up. If, on the other hand, if a comment is made that is not a pingback/trackback, on the same post, both the pingback/trackback and comment will show up.

    What is causing this behavior and how do I fix it?
