    WordPress version: 3.4.2

    I did this:

I use this plugin on my website, but also use WordPress SEO (Yoast) plugin and ofcourse recent version of WordPress.

I expected the plugin to do this:

    Ping updates.

    Instead it did this:

I actually just have a question. In your JetPack plugin there is also a 'Improved distribution (verbeterde distributie)' part, which tells me it shares my content with searchengines (not telling me which one?).

Also I discovered 'Update services' in the main installation of WordPress telling me this: WordPress makes this easy for you by listing Ping-O-Matic's server (rpc.pingomatic.com) by default. All you need to do is sit back and let it work for you!

On http://pingomatic.com/ there are a lot of site which are being pinged I quess by default wordpress installation.

I also use WordPress SEO by Yoast. I see there is a ping to: Google, Bing, Yahoo.com (optional) and Ask.com (optional).

My first idea, do I have to shut down 2 of this 3 services? Please give me your thoughts about this, because I don't know if this can harm my SEO.

    Kind regards,

    Willem

You can use all 3 services at the same time. They all do different things, and will help you get the word out when you update your blog.
