Pinboard theme slider problem

I love the attractiveness of the pinboard theme and especially it’s slider however I need to hide the posts associated with the images on the slider. Is there any way to unlink the slider images and hide/remove the posts the images are on? If not, is there a slider plugin that is similar to this that will solve my problem?
