Hi, I'm new to WP and I love the pinboard wordpress theme, but I've been have trouble with the header. I want to add my logo, I'm making the header 196×48(as described in http://www.onedesigns.com/wordpress-themes/pinboard)
I tried uploading it through the media and the going to Appearance > Header and still get very distorted!
I unchecked the Retina Header too and it didn’t help either!
Please help me!!!!
Thanks

Hello, hopefully you figured it out, but if you read the readme.txt file inside the pinboard package it has a blurb about the slider.
= The slider is disproportioned =
You need to set a featured image of at least 1140x395 for the slider's proportions to align. The slider cannot be given fixed proportions for compatibility with the responsive layout.
Ensure that your all your sticky'd posts' featured image is at least 1140x395, it's okay if it's bigger, it will just crop it in the middle. Give that a try.

I have the same thing. The theme options says to set the image to 96 x 392 so I did but it stretches the image sideways to maybe four times as long. Is there some way to insist on using a header image as uploaded without changing it? And I have no idea what retina means. Or where I find a slider.
