    SITE ADDRESS: http://gchs.gcweb.graves.kyschools.us

    I have scoured this site and others for a fix for this issue but have yet to find one that resolves my problem.

    I have uploaded images via the the Media tool but none will display on the pages anywhere in my site.

    Image Example: http://gchs.gcweb.graves.kyschools.us/files/2012/12/GCHSHeader.png

    This is the path showing in the Media > Edit field 'File URL'.

    I have read many posts about cache issues but this hasn't seemed to fix my issue or I have clicked the right button yet.

    The example code above is not the same path showing on the site:

    <img alt="Graves County High School" src="http://gchs.gcweb.graves.kyschools.us/files/2012/11/GCHSHeader.png">

    Note the month folder is different: 11 vs. 12

    -make sure images are not blocked by hotlink protection, contact your webserver.

    - check path in Admin => Settings => Media

    - make sure wp-content/upload folder is writable (try 766, 767, or 777 permission). Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK

    I noticed that the images have been uploaded to a folder named http://gchs.gcweb.graves.kyschools.us/files/2012/12/GCHSHeader.png instead of http://gchs.gcweb.graves.kyschools.us/wp-content/2012/12/GCHSHeader.png. Is there a place to change this? I looked on our web server and there is not such folder named files that contains images.

    I did more digging and found that you can edit the wp-config.php file to include a custom location to house your uploads. I went into that file and it is not edited to have a custom location.

    [No bumping, thank you.]

    and the correct path for the uploads should be http://gchs.gcweb.graves.kyschools.us/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/GCHSHeader.png instead of what I posted above. Either way, the images are not going to the correct location that is being referenced and the location that is being referenced does not exist.
