   I would like to able able to have a clickable image only on my front page, and cannot figure out if it is possible using twenty 10.

   1 image that welcomes you, then you click to enter the site.

   No header, footer, sidebar.

   Hi, what you want is a 'splash page'. There are several Plugins that will do this for you:
   Splashscreen
   WP Splash Image
   and many more in the Plugins directory.
