Picture of the Day POTD automatic future posting? (2 posts)

I have a picture of the day wordpress site, but I can't motivate myself to keep it up because I find the process very tedious.

I've searched several times and tried out many of the available WP plugins, but I haven't found something that does what I want it to.

Here's the current process: take pictures, resize as a batch w/ photoshop, upload thumbnails and popup larger images, and now comes the tedious part: make a post for each image and edit the posting date (current day + 1, +2, etc).

I do not have time to sit down each day and upload a picture, and I don't have the patience to upload a bunch of pictures and make post dated posts for each one. Is there an easier way to create daily image posts?

I am not a programmer and thus have no idea where I would begin in making something like this. I am envisioning a miniature calendar into which I can drag an image and it will automatically create a post for that day. (It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a thumbnail of an image that pops to a larger image when you click it).

I am not interested in having galleries or random photos on my website. I just want to set up a bunch of pictures (20-30) to post on successive days.

See http://www.sherlocksmuse.com/scenes to see exactly what I mean by one picture posted per day. I apologize if this is covered somewhere else or in some other way that I haven't thought of. TIA for any help.

I had experimented with WPicasa plugin. Unfortunately, it has not been updated for a while. The author has been working on it. If you check it out http://beaucollins.com/laboratory/wpicasa/, you shoudl find that it does a lot of what you want. It doesn't have a drag and drop feature though. However, it does create a Post for each image in an album that is uploaded. If you read the documentation, perhaps you could contact the author and ask about posting for days in advance.
