Picking best plugins for multiuser portofolios website

I’m trying to make a portfolio orientated website based on wp. The users should login, give details on them, upload photos, give details on photos and thumbs up/down for the photos. I’m completely lost in picking the best that would suit my website from so many plugins. Any ideas with what should i start?
