[resolved] Picasa Express x2 "PhotoSwipe" Causing Issues with Mobile Browser (8 posts)

I noticed today that the Picasa Express x2 plugin is making pages display funny in mobile browsers. Actually, when i click a link in a mobile browser (or with a desktop browser with user switching set to mobile) the page actually opens under itself somehow. This only happens when I enable PhotoSwipe as the "Link to Larger Image" option. I've never seen anything like this where the HTML output is actually duplicated directly beneath the original page when a link is clicked. I also see extra markup like "loading" etc that is from the Photoswipe function for viewing the larger photos. Any idea what caused this? I changed to the lightbox effect until this is fixed. Thanks for any help.

My guess is this is related to the jQuery.mobile library that the photoswipe plugin utilizes. I have noticed that this library seems to do some odd things to the page - replicating photos, etc.

I haven't run into exactly what you're experiencing, but I think this request should be posted on the PhotoSwipe support site - this plugin simply utilizes PhotoSwipe and doesn't support any issues that it might cause.

If you hear that an update is released for PhotoSwipe that corrects this issue, please let me know and I'll be happy to update the version included in the plugin.

Hi, I have the same issue. Will investigate more. Funny that the mobile friendly display is the one that's messed up on mobile devices! Nice plugin otherwise.

Well, just removing the include of jquery mobile fixes it.
Even with the plugin deactivated, just including jquery mobile breaks all the links, see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10837759/jquery-mobile-breaks-my-site, looks like the whole website has to be conceived with jquerymobile in mind for it to work properly

It does appear that the "swipe" actions available in PhotoSwipe when using a mobile browser can work without jquery.mobile. I'll do some testing to see if PhotoSwipe can be used without jquery.mobile completely, and if so I'll update the plugin to do so.

Version 2.2.2 has been released that removes the use of jquery.mobile. It appears that everything with PhotoSwipe still functions as expected. Please confirm that this solves the problem.

Thanks @gjanes, that seems to work great. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Thanks for the help!
