Pic and Bio attached to each post

How do I get the picture and brief bio of each of our bloggers automically to show up in the side-bar once they’ve published their blog/post? I’ve seen other sites that have the blog, and the authors pic/bio appear off to the side. I assume they don’t do that manually each time, so what do I need to set that up? Thanks for whatever help you can provide… greatly appreciated!
