   Has anyone ever had any luck getting this plugin to work? Or know of an elegant want to pull recent forum posts to the frontpage of a site? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

   On one site, I use feed wordpress to pull the posts from the forums feed
   to front page of wordpress
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/feedwordpress/

   /wp-admin/admin.php?page=feedwordpress/syndication.php
   set the forums feed here

   /wp-admin/admin.php?page=feedwordpress/posts-page.php
   set how/when you want posts displayed on front or blog page
