    When you click on the pictures on my site, http://www.leighharringtonphotography.co.uk the image comes up against a white background and not in the slideshow type system that they used to work in. Is there any simple mechanism for putting it back to being the slideshow type viewing system?
    Many thanks
    Leigh

    Do you mean a sort-of pop-up window with an enlarged photo, such as this website http://fancybox.net/ (click on a photo)?

    Not really, it was more like when you look at an album on facebook with the sideways arrows to go to the next picture

    It looks like you're not referencing jQuery.
    You need this in the header.php file, of the <head> section;

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.0/jquery.min.js"></script>

    Andrew we found the header.php page and we found the start of head, 'head profile' and whph head but we were not sure where on the page we we supposed to insert the code.
