    Hey there, Im setting up a really basic wp site for a client and am using the photopress plugin. Tonite, I was about to go live with the site and just changed over the root index.php as my wp index. all is fine with wp, but I'm getting alot of errors with photopress.

    The random thumbnail doesnt show up but throws the following errors:

    Warning: opendir(/home/elain3/public_html/chelseatownhouse.com/index.php/wp-content/photos): failed to open dir: Not a directory in /home/elain3/public_html/chelseatownhouse.com/wp/wp-content/plugins/photopress.php on line 171

    Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/elain3/public_html/chelseatownhouse.com/wp/wp-content/plugins/photopress.php on line 173

    the Photoalbum link appears still, but clicking it throws repeating errors once it gets to the album view page. (http://chelseatownhouse.com/wp/?pp_album=1)
    (from the same error lines as above)

    Warning: opendir(/home/elain3/public_html/chelseatownhouse.com/index.php/wp-content/photos): failed to open dir: Not a directory in /home/elain3/public_html/chelseatownhouse.com/wp/wp-content/plugins/photopress.php on line 171

    Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/elain3/public_html/chelseatownhouse.com/wp/wp-content/plugins/photopress.php on line 173

    can someone tell me what I need to change with these two lines to get it hooked up properly?

    Thanksabunch

    løk

    first, deactivate the plugin and then reactivate it. It may have files within the database that have to be "resynched".

    Second, contact the plugin author and his or her site for more information.

    I tried that all to no avail, will post to his site, but doesnt look like there is much support...

    http://isaac.wedin.org/photopress/

    and in case there is any confusion, regarding the root index.php:

    WordPress address (URI) is set to http://mysite.com/wp

    Blog address (URI): is set to http://mysite.com

    wp is the name of my wordpress folder.

    [solved][woot]

    ok I was able to fix it, I tracked down the bit I needed to tweak, and will post it in case anyone else changes their wp blog address to their site index and gets the same prob...

    again I renamed my wordpress folder to wp, so just tweak it accordingly for yours...

    $pp_photosaddress = $pp_blogurl . '/wp/wp-content/' . $pp_photofolder; //added /wp
    $pp_photospath = $home_path . 'wp/wp-content/' . $pp_photofolder; //added wp

    these are the last two lines in the "photopress-inc.php" file

    I've been having a similar issue with the PhotoPress plugin:

    Warning: opendir(/home/******/public_html/index.php/index.php/wp-content/photos): failed to open dir: Not a directory in /home/******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photopress.php on line 157

    Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photopress.php on line 159 no images yet

    Lines 157-159 from wp-content/plugins/photopress.php are:

    $handle = opendir($pp_photospath);
    $list_array = array();
    while (false !== ($folder_contents = readdir($handle))) {

    I've uploaded everything into the correct directories but there still seems to be a problem somewhere, and I think maybe the problem lies here in lines 135-137 in the wp-content/plugins/photopress-inc.php file:

    $pp_albumaddress = $pp_siteurl . '/' . $pp_albumname;
    $pp_photosaddress = $pp_blogurl . '/wp-content/' . $pp_photofolder;
    $pp_photospath = $home_path . 'wp-content/' . $pp_photofolder;

    I've tried installing this pluging three times now and I still can't pinpoint the problem. Is anyone available to help me out with this?

    I think I have a similar situation here.

    I've installed wordpress in the directory mydomain.com/wordpress and made root mydomain.com to be my blog home page. I followed the instruction here http://wordpress.org/docs/installation/different-address/ and my blog works fine.

    I installed Photopress 0.71 and I had to change the lines in photopress-inc.php to make it work.

    $pp_photosaddress = $pp_blogurl . '/wordpress/wp-content/' . $pp_photofolder; //add /wordpress
    $pp_photospath = $home_path . 'wordpress/wp-content/' . $pp_photofolder; //add wordpress

    However, when I open the image browser in admin, and use the button "Add thumbnail", it creats a post with the thumbnail as the link to the larger picture. When I click the link, errors occur.

    Warning: main(./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mydomain.com/wordpress/index.php on line 4
    Warning: main(./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mydomain.com/wordpress/index.php on line 4
    Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './wordpress/wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/psa/apache/lib/php') in /mydomain.com/wordpress/index.php on line 4

    Does anyone have the same problem?

    I am thinking if it helps to modify the line here in photopress-inc.php:

    $pp_albumaddress = $pp_siteurl . '/' . $pp_albumname;

    Can anyone please help?

  7. Have you contacted the plugin's developer?

    I saw some of his posts here and I was hoping that he would see this post. I am going to send him a email too.
