[resolved] Photocrati does not see new update to 4.4 (3 posts)

Hi, I am using the photocrati theme. I am still on version 4.3, while there is a version 4.4 available.

I've just migrated my site to a new hosting provider. On the old one it was difficult to do an update of anything, because the user rights were awkward (ftp used a different user than apache). So I couldn't update my website to 4.4 through the admin pages.

My new hosting provider has one user, so updating is much easier. But now photocrati says that there isn't an update available, but there is since I am on version 4.3 and the newest is 4.4.

The only difference I can think of is that at my old hosting provider I was still using WP3.4.1 and since I've changed to the new host I've updated to 3.4.2.

Photocrati support suggested to clear the browser cache, but that didn't solve my problem. Anyone else with this problem? Or a solution maybe?

Just a note, going back to WP3.4.1 does not change the odd behavior of Photocrati...

My problem was due to a setting with my new hosting provider.

They added a feature so it isn't possible to include external url's with perl or the php commands fopen or curl. They have a whitelist, so I've asked to add http://www.photocrati.com and members.photocrati.com. That has solved my problem.
