[resolved] photo stealing - flickr solution? (3 posts)

I know that generally there is no easy way to prevent people from "stealing" photos that are published on a site.

However, I was wondering whether anyone has come across a solution similar to what flickr does? If I understand correctly they place a spaceout gif on top of the image so anyone who right clicks and tries to copy a photo that way gets the gif instead.

Can this be done in WordPress?

I have not tried it but you can give this a try

As the description says "Nothing is foolproof". If someone can view your images, they can make a copy.

Thanks! I will check that out. The flickr solution is so elegant, wish someone would write a plug-in for that!
