• Greetings.
Let me start by saying I’m a Blog Novice (less than 100 posts so far).
Also, I’m not very experienced with the software (yet) or HTML.

My blog has been going great, but since the last major upgrade (now using 2.6.2), I not only have problems with, but HATE how pictures are added in the “Visual” tab of post writing.

You click on the [add media] “Add an image” button. It asks for MOST of what I would do with a picture (source, link, etc.), THEN, I need to click on the picture in the posting, and select “edit image”, go to the “Advanced Tab” (which was NOT there when I first inserted the picture), and THEN I can add a boarder which I typically do. At this point, everything looks fine, except that the picture does NOT “float” when I preview or publish the page…

When I add another picture to the post, all of the settings I had created for prior pictures (boarder, for example) disappear. All the pictures seem to take on the properties of the other pictures, and all incorrectly.

My work around? Nowadays I have been writing all my text in “visual” adding links to words, etc. THEN I go to the HTML tab and cut & paste code that I’ve written out in a MSWord document to where I THINK is where they will work in the document, and hope for the best.

The point? I HATE the “new” way of adding pictures in 2.6.2 since I now have to code myself instead of using the previously “user friendly” tools in the “visual” tab which always worked well in the last WordPress version. It now takes me three-times longer to post than before due to creating the HTML for all my pictures.

Is there a fix to this? Remember; I’m a novice, so treat me like an idiot when explaining please, and I greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks!
