   I tried to upgrade from wordpress2.0 to 2.2. I had the following message:

   Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /home/etousuco/public_html/nuangle.net/cn/work/wp-includes/cache.php on line 36

   Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /home/etousuco/public_html/nuangle.net/cn/work/wp-includes/query.php on line 21

   Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /home/etousuco/public_html/nuangle.net/cn/work/wp-includes/theme.php on line 507

   I can enter the admin screen. But when I changed some setting, it would turn blank only with the err messages displayed on the screen.

   You need to disable all your plugins before you attempt to upgrade.
