Petition does not work in sidebar (2 posts)

    Hi there
When I try and put the petition code in a sidebar text widget, it loads up without any formatting and also doesn't work (the Sign Now doesn't do anything).
When I then put leave that code in the sidebar, but also it somewhere else on the homepage, both of them come to life with full formatting and functionality - however then you need to fill in the fields on BOTH forms to get a successful signature submission.
I only really need it in the sidebar, I just happened to notice this thing about how another instance of the form makes the sidebar version start working.
Any ideas how I can put the widget in the sidebar and have it work?
    Thanks very much!!
    Kind regards

You don't need the shortcode to display the widget... and you don't need to use the text widget. Instead use the SpeakUp! Email Petitions widget provided...

Go to Appearance / Widgets and drag the little box labelled "SpeakUp! Email Petitions" from the list of Available widgets over to your sidebar and complete the form that appears.
