I have read thru all of the posts on removing bullets & taming lists and have tried each recommended resolution for my problem, but still with no avail. I have these white dots, which appear to be bullets on my sidebar and in some other areas (see http://www.judgementalzine.com/zine) which I CANNOT get rid of.

You can find my stylesheet code here---> http://tinyurl.com/yc8u94 . anyhootie...if anyone knows what i can do or has come across this in the past, any help is GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks!

Hi. Please fix your valdation errors first:

    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.judgementalzine.com%2Fzine%2F
    http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?profile=css2&warning=2&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.judgementalzine.com%2Fzine%2F

For all those ul#nav li in your CSS, the list-style: none; is unnecessary if it's already set in the ul.

You have a few stray li tags which are not within the comfort of a parent ul tag. This is probably why you're getting the "stray bullets".

If you fix all the validation errors, your problems should go. I cannot stress enough the importance of using a DOCTYPE. (If you don't know what one is, you shouldn't be making websites until you find out.) If you do not use one, the browser will render the page in "quirks mode", which replicates the browser bugs of the 1990s for compatibility. Unfortunately, this also makes CSS not behave as you expect it to.
