mattjurekSo I am running wordpress on a linux server. I am curios what the file ownership should be for wp-admin wp-content etc. I have it set as follows:
drwxr-xr-x 10 apache root 4096 Jul 5 17:14 wp-admin
This allows me to upgrade plugins through wordpress and edit files, however it will not allow me to update files through FTP. Please explain why or what I need to do on the server to set it up so I can do both without changing file ownership. FYI it is a VPS I have full access.
