    Hallo people,

    I have a big problem.

On our blog counting about 2000 posts were added categories to older posts and now when I click on older posts, it redirects me to 404 and says Nothing found.

I was looking through the web.

Tried to change number of posts per page, also tried the way described here:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/287191

    and here:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Using_.22Pretty.22_permalinks

    but nothing helped.

I recreated .haccess more times, also didnt work.

Does anyone of you have an idea, how to solve it?

P.s.: removing those old categories didnt help either.
P.p.s.: Using Super WP Cache plugin - removing didnt help too.

Have you tried resetting the permalinks to the default setting?

You may only need to reset the permalinks temporarily and delete the current .htaccess file. Then set your custom structure back up again.

Try deactivating all of your plugins, then re-save the permalink structure. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.
