• Hi,

My wordpress blog was ‘hacked’ yesterday and many index and default files were left on the server, therefore replacing the homepage. The database was unaffected and I had a backup of the files. I cleaned the server and FTP’d the backup.

The blog is now online again with the correct homepage, but now my permalinks which all have a trailing slash (they always have, I can see them in google) give me a 404. If I switch to a permalink format without a trailing slash everything works fine.

I am on IIS6 on Shared Hosting and the host cannot find a problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am at a dead end and would really like to keep the existing link format the way it has always worked!

    Thanks

    Gary
