Permalinks with BuddyPress & custom post types (4 posts)

I'm having a horrible time trying to get permalinks to work.

BuddyPress requires that you use any permalink system besides the default; however, I have custom post types and custom taxonomies, and when I use anything but the default, the site does nothing but return me a 404 error.

I've seen a couple of threads discussing the 404 error issue, but none of them have offered a solution that works for me. I just have no idea what to do at this point.

The custom post types are being used to create separate sections of the website -- i.e, there is an academic-like journal, and a game database. I would like for these to show up as,

    http://www.mysite.com/journal/taxonomy/the-page-or-post-goes-here

where 'taxonomy' is also custom (but works similarly to categories for posts).

Is there ANY way to get this to work? How would I set that up?

try puting a index.php before the customized link

    example:

    /index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    hope it will help
