I'm not getting what I need from the codex on this issue.
For my static pages, I just want the page name to appear in the url:
http://www.mysite.com/services
For my post pages, I want the the permalink for month and name to appear:
http://www.mysite.com/2011/04/sample-post/
Where do I specify this distinction?
If you turn on pretty permalinks the naming system for pages works this way by default. For posts, go into Settings > Permalinks - and choose "Day and name" under "Common settings."
